School Name

John Molson School of Business

Unique Factors

A World-Class Program

Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, Quebec, the John Molson School of Business offers a world-class MBA program. Renowned for its international and cross-cultural mindset, our curriculum is practical, challenging, and responsive to the rapidly changing needs of today's employers.

AACSB Accredited

The JMSB is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world’s premier business school accrediting body, placing us among the ranks of such prestigious institutions as Harvard, Wharton and Stanford.

Top-Tier Faculty

JMSB MBA professors have solid academic credentials from top international institutions. They understand current market trends and issues, bring a wealth of both teaching and industry experience to their classrooms, and maintain the highest per capita research output in Quebec. Many of our faculty members also regularly consult for leading multinational corporations. All are committed educators who make accessibility to their students a priority.

Flexible Schedule

Our MBA is a flexible part-time or full-time program. Some full-time students can complete their degree in as little as one year; part-time students in as little as two years. Classes are scheduled during the day and evening, typically, Monday through Thursday. In the summer, courses are scheduled only in the evenings.

Strong Ties to the International Business Community

The JMSB maintains strong links with the business community and with Canada's key growth industries, such as pharmaceuticals, consulting, investment banking, aerospace, biotechnology, and high technology, as well as with NGOs. These ties allow us to provide our students with regular and ongoing opportunities to connect with local, national, and international industry and its leaders.

Diverse Student Body

The diversity of our student body creates a uniquely challenging and stimulating learning environment. All of our students have solid work experience and more than half have international work experience, bringing a global perspective to our classrooms and preparing all of our students to function in a global, multicultural business environment.

Strong Alumni Network

JMSB students make lifelong connections to a strong MBA alumni network of over 40,000 graduates, many of whom hold leadership positions around the world. Among Canadian universities, Concordia has the highest number of graduates holding a CEO position in a Global Fortune 500 company, as listed by Fortune magazine in 2006.

Small Class Size

Small class sizes and an impressive thirty-to-one student to professor ratio ensure that our students get one-on-one time with professors, as well as the benefit of focused, relevant class discussions in an intimate setting.

Practical Approach

The JMSB MBA program takes a practical, hands-on approach to business education. Our MBA curriculum emphasizes the use of timely case studies to present material in a way that closely resembles how the business world presents situations to senior managers.

International Setting

Every year, the charm of Montreal, a cosmopolitan blend of Europe and North America, draws more international students than any other city in the world. Our city is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live, based on quality of life. Living in Montreal is affordable and many international organizations are based here, making it an ideal location for earning an MBA.
